KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 16 (MExN): In view of the upcoming Hornbill Festival and visit by domestic and international tourists, an inter -departmental coordination meeting on Road Safety was held on November 15 at the Mini Conference Hall, Police Headquarter Kohima. 

A DIPR report stated that the meeting was attended by DGP Nagaland Rupin Sharma, along with Limasunep Jamir, Commissioner of Police Dimapur, DCP Chümoukedima, SP Kohima and representatives from various departments including Commissioner Nagaland, Transport Commissioner, DC Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Kohima and NHIDCL.

The agenda of the meeting was to discuss on various aspects related to road safety and to ensure that any accident or mishaps are prevented in view of the upcoming festive season-Statehood Day celebration and Hornbill Festival 2023 and to have better Inter Departmental Coordination.

The meeting was chaired by Sandeep M Tamgadge, ADGP (L&O). D. Keretsü, Member, National Road Safety Council, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India attended the meeting as a special invitee. A total of 14 senior officers from various departments attended the meeting.
