Kohima, December 2 (MExN): The PHED department Wokha division organized training on skill development for villagers under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) support activity on December 2.
A DIPR report stated that Executive Engineer, PHED Wokha, Er Imnazulu Ao said the training was organized to equip the stakeholders on various related trades so as to ensure the sustainability of water supply infrastructure.
He urged the stakeholders to take proper responsibility of the operation and maintenance of water supply infrastructure once the projects are completed and handed over to them. Theoretical and practical session on the use of equipments and tools on four trades, namely: plumbing, masonry, electrician, welding and training on water testing kit were imparted by skilled master trainers during the workshop.
Similar programme was conducted at Bhandari sub-division which was conducted under the leadership of SDO PHED, Bhandari, Er K Hukato. At Wokha the training programme was chaired by Er Zuchamo Kikon (JE) while vote of thanks was proposed by Er Chenithung Ezong, JE PHED Wokha division.
