Kohima, October 16 (MExN): The Khiamniungan Students’ Union Kohima (KSUK) celebrated its 25th anniversary at the State Academy Hall, Kohima on October 15 with Dr Neikiesalie Nicky Kire, Advisor, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs and L Khumo, Advisor, Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Evaluation, Economics & Statistics, As the special guest and guest of honour respectively. 

Dr Kire exhorted the gathering to have 3Ds in life, i.e. ‘Determination, Dedication and Devotion in life, and never give up.’ He said that ‘things take time and things may not always turn the way we want’ but one should continue to  strive. He urged the students to take up sports and athelethe activities. Stating that the mentality of ‘backward’ will only hinder, Dr Kire he said, “we are all equal in any competitive area.” 

In the second session, the new office bearers were inducted with Bem Lushing as the President. MS Thangpong, Additional Deputy Commisioner, Commissioner Office, Kohima also spoke during the event. Special prayer was said by M Chuba Lam, Associate Pastor, youth KBCK. This was stated in a press release issued by Convenor, Media and Publicity, 25th Anniversary KSUK.
