Nagaland: Only 4 beds vacant in Dimapur COVID-19 hospital

DIMAPUR, JUNE 10 (MExN): With 84 COVID-19 cases admitted at the 100 bed capacity COVID-19 Hospital in Dimapur, there are now only 4 beds left for COVID-19 patients at the hospital. A report from the DIPR informed that 6 beds in the hospital are reserved for pediatric cases and another 6 are ICU beds. The DIPR also informed that 12 positive cases admitted in the COVID 19 hospital Dimapur have tested negative for the 2nd time and have been shifted to the Tourist Lodge, Dimapur. Meanwhile, it was informed that 2 COVID-19 positive cases (a husband and wife duo), who were kept in an isolation unit in Dimapur, were shifted to Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) on June 10 evening by ambulance “on humanitarian grounds.” The couple was asymptomatic and found fit to travel and since NHAK has a cancer unit they had to be shifted as the wife was a cancer patient and her primary problem had to be urgently attended, the DIPR said.
