Our God leads the way in the right direction

“God’s presence with us is one of His greatest presents to us”. This is what we experienced during the youth revival held from 4-7 June ‘09 under the theme ‘Direction: Which Way Are You Headed To?’ with Mr. Allemsunep Jamir (missionary working with the Repairers of the Breach, Ministry) as the speaker. When God gave us the vision for the revival, we had no idea God was going to work in such a big and special way. Firstly, we didn’t expect that many people to attend the programme. And secondly, we had no idea how those 4 days were going to turn out. All we knew was that we had to obey and trust God and that each service was going to be different as was revealed to the speaker. Our view of things is restricted by our humanness but we can trust ourselves to The One, Who has an unlimited view. We did that and we saw God doing amazing things in every service.

In all the services God led the speaker to preach on different topics. He shared that “Amid all the clamor and din of this visible and audible world, we should listen carefully for God’s quiet voice. Listen to Him in the Bible. Talk to Him in your circumstances. Seek Him. He is with you wherever you go”. He also said, “Our greatest privilege is to enjoy God’s presence”.

The Lord is near to all who call; He promised in His Holy Word that if we will draw near to Him, our faintest heart cry will be heard. I saw these words coming to pass in this revival. So many young people allowed the presence of Jesus into their lives and it was amazing to see how God was touching their lives in a special way. Here are some of the testimonies of how God visited the young people.

There was this reporter from one local daily who was there covering the event for his newspaper. While he was taking pictures he also experienced the visitation of the Holy Spirit. Then and there he stopped what he was doing and came searching for counselors with tears in his eyes. This is what he had to say: “I have never experienced anything like this in my life”.

Another girl who was confused about her salvation during counseling came to meet the one who had counseled her after the end of one of the services and said, “Thank you for clarifying my doubts; now I am sure of my salvation!’ There was this other person who said he was an atheist but praise God! by the end of the revival he had accepted that there really is a God.

These are just a few instances of how God was in work during the services as well as during the counseling sessions. We just saw in parts what was going to happen in the Revival but for our Almighty, He had already seen everything in whole! God’s presence was awesome throughout the revival. May the Lord continue to bless and guide all those people who allowed His presence into their lives during the Revival and may He also continue to show the right direction to those people, who are still confused, which direction to choose. Amen.
