Sick, Tired, But Still Pretend

Sick, tired, but still pretend;
What’s more to the world,
What’s more to it?
What’s more than I’ve already seen?

Not every house’s a home,
Not all sounds are sweet.
Not everybody’s as worthy
As they seem to be.

First think for yourself,
For yourself, then for yourself.
Look for the speck,
In your father’s eye, then yourmother’s.

Love is something,
Not all can afford;
It only comes
When you glitter like gold.

Your truest dreams
Are opposed by all.
A vain path,
Is where you’re supposed to walk.

The wrong is right,
If they say so.
An honest man is a liar,
If he’s on his own.

You want to see the change,
But not change yourself.
You blame the world,
That you have populated.

Leave it to the rich,
To make the law.
Oversee the faults,
Unless it’s the poor.

Be kind to your neighbour,
Even if only on the face;
They’ll never know
If you sin behind their back.

It’s okay to be rude,
To be bad, if they’re the same.
Who says love can correct?
Who says it can mend?

The proudest man
Is his mother’s gem;
The humble farmer
Carries the world’s shame.

Why work hard,
When you’ve got the wealth?
It’s not corruption,
It’s called ‘following the trend’.

So,
What’s more to the world,
What more to it?
What’s more than I’ve already seen?

We all complain
But never act;
Yes, we’re all sick, tired
But we still choose to pretend.
