12 contestants set to compete in Naga Chef 2024

Dimapur, November 16 (MExN): The much-anticipated Naga Chef culinary competition is back with its 11th edition, bringing together the best culinary talents in Nagaland. Organised by Synergy Group Enterprise and supported by the Department of Tourism, Government of Nagaland, this year’s competition promises to be a spectacular showcase of the region’s rich culinary heritage.

Naga Chef is the first of its kind culinary skills competition in Nagaland, aimed at increasing appreciation for Nagaland’s unique indigenous cuisine and providing a platform for entrepreneurial Naga chefs. With a grand prize of Rs 3 lakh, this event not only highlights culinary talents but also nurtures the entrepreneurial spirit among the participants.

A total of 12 contestants were meticulously selected from the screening round, demonstrating exceptional culinary skills and a deep understanding of Naga cuisine. The selected contestants participated in an orientation session at the State Institute of Hotel Management, Dimapur on November 16. This session equipped them with the necessary knowledge and insights to excel in the competition.

The competition will unfold through several challenging rounds designed to identify the diverse skills required to be a successful chef and entrepreneur. Each round will test the contestants’ creativity, technical abilities, and their flair for presenting indigenous cuisines.
