Lumami, November 23 (MExN): The 12th Lumami Campus Sports Club (LCSC) Tournament concluded on November 22 at Nagaland University, Lumami, after eight days of competitive and recreational sports.
The event featured employees, staff, and students competing in a range of sports.
Delivering the valedictory address, Chief Guest Dr Harish Tiwari, Deputy Director of Sports, NU, lauded the LCSC Executive Committee for organising a well-structured and inspiring tournament. He emphasised the importance of promoting fitness and encouraged parents to motivate children to participate in sports from an early age, noting that early exposure helps identify potential and guide them toward meaningful sporting careers.
Meanwhile, Dr. Sandeep Gupta, General Secretary of LCSC, extended appreciation to the chief guest, executives, players, and all members involved in organising the week-long event. He reflected on the club’s founding purpose of uniting people from diverse backgrounds through sports. The valedictory session included a special performance, a cultural programme, prize distribution, and a lottery draw. In the tournament results, Hukheto and Himatoli were declared Player of the Tournament in the men’s and women’s categories respectively. The Red House emerged as the Champion Team, receiving the trophy from the chief guest, inofmred a press release from the university.
