JALUKIE, February 9 (MExN): The 12th edition of the Nagaland Football Tournament will be held from February 11-14 in Jalukie, Peren district, hosted by the Peren District Veteran Football Association (PDVFA) under the aegis of the Nagaland Veteran Football Association.
Nagaland’s Advisor for Youth Resources and Sports, S. Keoshu Yimkhiung, will attend the inaugural function as the special guest, while Dr. Tumda Newme, general secretary of the Tenyimi Union Nagaland, will be the guest of honor at the closing ceremony.
Six teams from Kohima, Dimapur, Niuland, Mokokchung, Mon, and Peren districts will compete for the championship title. The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000, while the runner-up will take home Rs 30,000. The two semifinalists will receive Rs 10,000 each.
The organizing committee has asked all teams to complete their registration by 4 pm, followed by a Team Coach & Manager Clinic at 5 pm. Lodging and meals will be provided by the hosts, including mattresses for participants, though players have been requested to bring their own bedding and essential accessories.
