13 contestants to vie for Miss Nagaland 2022

The Beauty & Aesthetic Society of Nagaland (BASN) is all set to hold 33rd edition of Miss Nagaland 2022 on December 9 as part of Hornbill Festival of Nagaland. This event is powered by Nagaland tourism and Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA).

Making an official announcement today through a press conference here at Symphony Café, BASN president Melekhoto Pucho said that event will take place at Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima from 5:30 pm onwards. 13 contestants from Dimapur, Kohima, Phek, Mokokchung, Zunheboto, Peren, Niuland and Tseminyu districts will vie for the coveted title of Miss Nagaland 2022.

The winner will win a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh while the 1st and 2nd runner- up will receive Rs 70,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively along with gift hampers and ambassador opportunities. There will be six sub titles- Miss Talent, Miss Photogenic, Miss Perfect Ten, Queen of Hearts, Miss Beautiful Smile and Miss Multimedia. The sub title winners will get Rs 10,000 each along with gift hampers. The contestant will go for three rounds-ethnic round, designer round and evening gown round.  

Pucho said that the contestants will be reaching Kohima by December 1 and will go for grooming classes and other activities. Ticket for the show in two categories at Rs 200 and Rs 500, will be made available at Symphony Café Kohima and venue itself.

Irene Dkhar - Miss Northeast 2022 and Eshanee Hatimuria 1st runner up of Miss Northeast 2022 will be the guest judges. The event partners for Miss Nagaland 2022 will include; Beauty Barn, Symphony, Drift Basket, Chiizho Home Designs, De Oriental Fitness, Kekhro Smile Foundation, The Khriezos, Knock and Wrap, Zenki-Organic, Alem Ozukum and Hornbill Tandoor.
