133 children attend Catholic summer camp in Tobu

Tobu, July 19 (MExN): A three-day Children's Summer Camp, organised by the Catholic Youth Association (CYA), Tobu under the aegis of the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC), concluded on Sunday at Holy Redeemer Parish, Tobu, with 133 catechism students participating in the programme.

Held from July 17 to 19 on the theme "Rooted and Built Up", the camp aimed to strengthen children's understanding of the teachings of the Catholic Church and encourage them to remain rooted in Christian faith and values.

The participants attended sessions on various aspects of the Catholic faith and spiritual formation. The programme also included daily devotional worship, Bible skits, quiz competitions, group discussions, interactive sessions, outdoor games and other recreational activities designed to combine learning with fellowship.

The resource persons included Parish Priest Rev Fr Kevishi Solomon, Sr Cicily Kamei (SABS), CYA adviser Changku Augustine and Trainer of Teachers (ToT) David Jongo. They conducted sessions on faith formation, Christian values and the importance of living a Christ-centred life.

The camp concluded with a Holy Eucharist offered for the children, followed by a valedictory programme and prize distribution.
