13th Music Awards of Nagaland : Methaneilie Jütakhrie receives Lifetime Achievement Award

The 13th Music Awards of Nagaland 2021 Awards Ceremony was held on October 16 at the Regional Centre of Excellence for Music & Performing Arts (RCEMPA), Jotsoma, Kohima. A total of 18 awards were handed out to the artistes in different categories.

The event also witnessed performances by some of the most popular artistes of Nagaland including Atso Chasie, Keneisenuo Sorhie, Mengu Suokhrie, Kekhrie Ringa and Colored Keys, a press release from Native Trax Society stated on Sunday.

Femina Miss India Nagaland 2020 Zuchobeni Tungoe kept the crowd engaged with her lively interaction and witty quips, it said.

Legendary musician from Nagaland, Methaneilie Solo Jütakhrie received a standing ovation as he walked on stage to receive the first ever ‘Lifetime Achievement Award.’  

In his speech, Jütakhrie expressed his gratitude to God for blessing him with musical talent and also expressed gratitude to the Native Trax Society for conferring the award upon him.

The award ceremony was preceded by a photo session wherein Nagaland’s music and fashion icons as well as social media influencers and invitees walked the red carpet, the release stated.
