The 15th International Hornbill Naga Wrestling Championship 2022 will take place on December 3 at Amphitheatre, Naga Heritage Village Kisama. Pollem Tep, President Rengma Hoho will be the special guest.
The professional champion will get Rs 1.20 lakh while 2nd, 3rd and 4th place winners will receive Rs 80,000, Rs 40,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively.
Amateur/Tourist champion will be awarded with Rs. 30,000 while 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place winners will get Rs 20,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5000 respectively.
Eight participants each from Angami Sports Association, Chakhesang Wrestling Association and Zeliang Wrestling Association will wrestle for the championship title under professional category.
For Amateur/Tourist category, the participant can even register on the day of the event.
The event is managed by Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) and supported by Tourism Department, Nagaland.
The inaugural function will take place at 10:00 am. NWA general secretary Vilekho Bio will chair the function while NWA President Dr Hiabe Zeliang will deliver presidential address.
NWA vice president Dietho Koza will administer oath to the wrestlers.
