The two-day 15th Kohima District Table Tennis Championship-cum-4th Inter-School Championship 2026 concluded on August 15 at the Indoor Table Tennis Stadium, Kohima, under the aegis of the Kohima District Table Tennis Association (KDTTA).
In the boys’ team event, Vineyard School emerged champion, while Azedon School finished runner-up. Genesis School and G Rio School shared third position.
In the girls’ team event, Northfield School emerged champion, with Vineyard School finishing runner-up. Azedon School and G Rio School jointly secured third position. The championship brought together more than 80 players across 13 categories.
The event aimed to provide competitive exposure to players, encourage greater participation among school-going children and strengthen the revival of table tennis in the district.
KDTTA president Lhoulievi Belho informed that the top two finishers in the different categories will represent Kohima district at the upcoming Inter-District Table Tennis Championship scheduled for October this year.
