The 18th Hornbill International Naga Wrestling Championship 2025 will take place on December 4 at Kimipfiiphe Local Gound, Kigwema.
This event, as part of Hornbill Festival 2025, is organised by Nagaland Wrestling Association and sponsored by Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Nagaland and supported by Nagaland Tourism.
MLA Kevipodi Sophie will grace the event as the special guest.
In Open category, the champion will get Rs. 70,000 while 2nd and 3rd position will be awarded with Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively.
Provisional category: Champion- Rs. 30,000, 2nd- Rs. 20,000, 3rd- Rs. 10,000.
90 kg & below: 1st- Rs. 40,000, 2nd- Rs. 20,000, 3rd- Rs. 10,000.
Women category: 1st- Rs. 20,000, 2nd- Rs. 10,000 and 3rd- Rs. 5000.
Foreign national tourists are also invited to participate in the event. There will be a separate category for foreign tourist wrestlers.
For this category, interested persons can submit their names to NWA before December 4.
