LONGLENG, DECEMBER 2 (MExN): The Officers Club Longleng organized its first inter departmental tournament officers meet 2021 from November 29 to December 1 at multipurpose building, Longleng. The 3 days sports events culminated on December 1 with Phakmei, Youth secretary, PBCA gracing the closing programme as special guest. The event witnessed competitions in Badminton and Carom among the officers of various departments.
In badminton (Men’s Doubles) the Medical Department was declared champion and District Administration took second spot. In Women’s Doubles, both 1st and 2nd positions were bagged by the officers representing Government High Secondary school. In Carom competition, DEF was declared champion and Soil and Water Conservation Department was runners-up.
On the last day of the meet, a state dinner was jointly hosted by the Deputy Commissioner Longleng and Superintendent of Police, Longleng for officers and well-wishes of the district.
The Officers Club Longleng has thanked all the officers in the district for participating in the sports events with enthusiasm and zeal and further sought cooperation from all departments in future activities of the club.
