The participants with organisers during the 1st Mokokchung District Chess Championship held at Unit School, DEF Mokokchung on September 9.
Mokokchung, September 9 (MExN): The four-day chess coaching camp cum 1st Mokokchung District Chess Championship held at Unit School, DEF Mokokchung concluded on September 9. It was organised by Youth Resources and Sports Department and Nagaland Chess Association in collaboration with DEF Mokokchung.
Results of the 1st Mokokchung District Chess championship 2022: Champion- Parkash Burathoki; 1st Runner up – Imoten; 2nd Runner up- Sentisangla. They were all awarded cash prize, trophy, certificate and chess sets.
The 4th to 14th position was given chess sets and certificate while the 15th to 20th position was given cash prize and certificate. All participants were given certificate
The Nagaland Chess Association also set up the Mokokchung District Chess Association (MDCA) unit and distributed 10 chess sets to (MDCA) and 10 chess sets to unit school DEF, Mokokchung.
The MDCA will be headed by President- Lanulemba Longchar and General Secretary- Akumyanger Lemtur.
