The first edition of the TM Wati Volleyball Tournament got underway at Jungli Arjuma, Mokokchung village, Mokokchung. The tournament is organized by Rising Star Sporting Club.
The opening programme of the tournament was graced by Moasangba Jamir, President, NPF, Mokokchung division. In his speech, Moasangba said that it is not an easy task to organize a tournament and congratulated the Rising Star Sporting Club for organizing the tournament. He also said that sports and games promote peace and unity and encouraged all the teams to participate not for the sake of participating but to bring unity.
Nine teams are participating at the ongoing tournament and the tournament will conclude on 21 December. The inaugural match was played between Anentzübo and Kumlong Sporting Association which was won by Anentzübo.
