2 NCS officers from Nagaland promoted to IAS

New Delhi, December 8 (MExN):  Two state civil service officers from Nagaland have been appointed to Indian Administrative Service (IAS) on December 8 on probation, informed an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT), Government of India.

The two officers, Martha Ryndem Ritse, Commissioner & Secretary, Social Welfare Department and Sotsula, Commissioner & Secretary, Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, were appointed to the IAS Select List of 2021 against vacancies between 1.1.2021 to 31.12. 2021 determined by the Government of India in consultation with the State Government. 

Accordingly, they were appointed by the President “on probation until further orders” in exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 8(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954 read with Regulation 9(1) of the IAA (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955 and Rule 3 of the IAS (Probation) Rules, 1954, the order stated. 

Under IAS (Cadre) Rules, 1954, Ritse and Sotsula were allocated to the Nagaland Cadre, added the order issued by  Panyaj Gangwar, Under Secretary to the Government of India.
