Tuensang, Peren DBDB discusses election work distribution
Tuensang, January 6 (DIPR): The District Planning & Development Board meeting of Peren was held on January 6 with Deputy Commissioner Peren and Vice Chairman DPDB, Smita Sarangi, IAS as the Chairperson.
Addressing the Board, she said the upcoming 2018 General Election will be declared anytime and requested that there should not be slackness or excuses of any sort. Any assignment given has to be carried out in one way or the other.
She particularly advised the Sector Magistrate to visit the area and take stock of the situations. Meanwhile she also requested the power, the PWD and the School Education Department to give status report every Thursday, to access the situation for the election in advance. She informed the Board about the webcasting of polling process for about forty polling stations in the district and requested the concerned officers to ensure that work is done as per the assignment.
Later, work distribution for the ensuing Republic Day 2018 Celebration was made. Concluding her address, she impressed the head of offices that public should not be harassed due to our unavailability in the station. Follow up meeting relating to the Election will be convened anytime therefore officer’s presence in the station is a must, she added.
Meanwhile, The District Planning and Development Board Meeting held at DC Conference Hall Tuensang on January 5. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB Tuensang, L. Jamithung Lotha.
The DC Tuensang directed all the departments of Tuensang to submit the employee list for the election purpose at the earliest. He also encouraged the departments who have not submitted the preparation of the District Vision statement 2022 at the earliest.
The meeting also discussed regarding the work distribution for the forthcoming election matters. The Deputy Commissioner Tuensang informed the PWD (RD), Power, PHED department to be prepared for the necessary renovations of the necessary respective fields for the pliable status for the coming election. The next power point presentation has been asked to Power and Irrigation Departments.
The Deputy Commissioner Tuensang also enlightened all the departmental heads to attend the Noklak District inaugural programme.
