23rd state archival exhibition at Hornbill Festival 2022

The ongoing 23rd State Archival exhibition cum sale of departmental publication at Hornbill Festival 2022 at World War II Museum premises, Kisama has been attracting many visitors since December 1.

The Nagaland State Archives under the Directorate of Art & Culture, Nagaland have been observing Annual State Archives Week for the last 22 years.

To create awareness of archival treasurers, the state archives exhibition has been put up to draw attention of the public on the importance of archives as the state’s documentary heritage, and to stress the role of archival institutions in restructuring future development.

The documents displayed in this exhibition have been chosen from both public records and private papers, stated Nagaland Art & Culture, Director, Adela Moa in a leaflet.

Archival materials put up for display included; selected public and private records, newspaper clippings, maps and photos.

The Archival Exhibition opens for pubic between 10:30 am- 4:00 pm daily till December 10.
