Anal Lenruwl Tangpi today booked semi finals berth after defeating Kuki United FC in the last quarter finals of the ongoing 25th anniversary edition of the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2025 at Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima.
Anal Lenruwl Tangpi overpowered Kuki United FC 3-1.
Thumsol opened the account for Anal Lenruwl Tangpi in the 48th minute while Winkle and Kagaly added a goal each in the 60th and 65th minute respectively.
Seivanglem Kuki netted a solitary goal for Kuki United in the 29th minute.
Later, Er. Sungti Amer, Assistant Chief Engineer CAWD was present as match patron and handed over ‘ Player of the Match’ award to Tongsin Thumsol of Anal Lenruwl Tangpi.
Meanwhile, the 1st semi finals match between Sechu Zubza FC and Chedema Village Youth Organization will take place on October 15.
Sechu Zubza FC’s road to Semi-Finals
Defending champions Sechü Zubza Football Club (SZFC) began their title defense directly from the Pre-Quarter Final stage.
Their opening clash was against Ward-19 Kohima, a team that put up a strong defensive display throughout regular time. Despite several promising attempts from both sides, the match concluded in a goalless draw (0–0) after regulation time.
The outcome was then decided through a tense Tie breaker, where SZFC showcased composure and precision to secure a 3–1 victory, advancing them to the Quarter final.
In the Quarter Final, the defending champions continued their impressive form, defeating former champions Red Scars FC with a convincing 2–0 win, ensuring their place in the Semi-Finals.
Chedema Village Youth Organisation’s road to semi finals
Chedema Village Youth Organization (CVYO) exceptional form throughout the tournament, securing their place in the Semi finals with dominant performances in every match.
CVYO defeated Amigos FC Tesophenyu 7-0 in its opening Match and later overpowered Kidima Farmers United 2-0, and defeated United Brothers FC 7-1, Rever Gantok SC 4–0 and Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong 2-1.
With an impressive attacking record and a strong defensive line, CVYO entered the Semi finals with scoring 22 goals and conceded only 2 goals.
