Ward-19 Kohima today overpowered strong opponent PLLA (Manipur) 2-1 on the 18th day of the ongoing 25th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2025 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Bikash opened the account for Ward-19 Kohima in the 6th minute while Kakhevi Assumi added another goal for the team in the 40th minute.
Hemgoulal netted a lone goal for PLLA.
Laba Jr of Ward-19 Kohima was declared as the “Player of the Match” and the award was handed over by Vizhoto Hibo. (NPS) Commandant, 4th NAP Thizama.
With today’s win, Ward-19 has qualified for pre-quarter finals and will now play against Sechii Zubza FC on October 7 (2nd Match).
Meanwhile, Michazou FC qualified for the pre- quarter finals since Sadar Hill Football Academy (Manipur) failed to appear today.
Michazou FC will now face Red Scars on October 7 (1st match).
