26, 948 vehicles registered in Nagaland during 2025

Altogether, 26, 948 vehicles have been registered in Nagaland during January- December 2025.

Out of this, registration under transport category consists 14, 010 and non- transport category at 12, 938.

This was stated in the Annual Administrative Report 2025-26 of the Transport department, tabled at the 8th session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA).

Kohima district registered the highest with 14, 740, followed by Dimapur at 9519 and Phek as the least with 131. Altogether, 16, 856 driving licence have been issued during 1st January – 31st December 2025. Further, 16,957 National Permit and 1034 All India Tourist Permit have been issued during 2025.

Meanwhile, the Enforcement Wing of the Department has detected 2808 defaulters and a total amount of Rs. 28, 88, 600 has been realized as compounding fee.
