2nd phase of skill development training launched in Wokha

Wokha, August 6 (MExN): The Second Phase of short-term Skill Development Training on ‘Tailoring for Rural Women,’ under Skill Development for Rural Women through Mobile Skill Morung was launched at Wozhuro Headquarter, under Wokha district on August 5. 

Savio Visa, Additional Director Department of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (ESDE), Nagaland was the special guest at the 

Speaking as the special guest, Savio Visa, Additional Director of the Department of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (ESDE), Nagaland, urged the trainees to take the 14-day training programme seriously to better prepare themselves for self-employment. He encouraged them to view this opportunity as a chance to not only improve their own livelihoods but also to support their community by establishing self-employed tailoring businesses in their village.

He also requested the village council to support logistically and monitor their performance in various capacities as the trainees start the venture. 

A total of 25 trainees from various villages under Wozhuro range have enrolled for the programme, a DIPR report informed. 

Meanwhile, Village Council Chairman (VCC), Meriyan Village Alow Khuvung,  speaking on speech on behalf of Wozhuro Range Village Council Union appreciated the Department for bringing the training program to their doorstep.

He further requested the Department to provide such training to the youths of the range for mitigating the unemployment problem in the range.

Likewise, Chairman of Wozhuro Range Council Union (WRCU), Yanbemo Tungu urged the Department to take up other short-term skill development trainings for the youths of the range.
