3 more villages in Zbto attain 100% COVID vaccination status

Zunheboto, June 27 (MExN): Ghukiye village under Satakha Block, Phuye Old village and Tichipami village under Suruhuto Block have joined the list of villages to be fully vaccinated under Zunheboto District.

In Ghukiye village, COVID-19 sensitization programme was conducted on June 6, and a total of 5 sessions were conducted in the village on April 15 and 19 and on June 6, 20 and 27 respectively where a total of 128 eligible beneficiaries were vaccinated. Door to door vaccination was also carried out, as per a press release from Shekho Sophie, District Media Officer, CMO Office Zunheboto.

With active participation from the village GBs, Village Health Committee, Village Council Members and Village Elders along with medical staff led by Dr Nilomy G Kiba, MO of Ghukiye PHC, Ghukiye village was able to vaccinate 100% of all its eligible beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, 100% COVID-19 vaccination was also achieved at Phuye Old village.

The medical team under Suruhuto Block conducted three vaccination drives at Phuye Old village, during which, a total of 194 beneficiaries were inoculated.

The last vaccination drive was held on June 26 where the 36 remaining eligible beneficiaries were vaccinated, making Phuye Old village 100% vaccinated, according to Dr Abolu N Yeptho, Medical Officer PHC Suruhuto.

301 eligible beneficiaries were vaccinated in Tichipami village, which also attained 100% vaccination status.
