•-In the midst of hot debates and discussion regarding 33% Women Reservation, I would like to voice my personal opinion on the same for the good of the people in general and that of the Women in particular. This, I believe, will help the people of Nagaland to make the right and the best decision- one that will benefit the Society at large.
To begin with, I feel that Minister for Urban Development and Higher Education, Shurhozilie’s Tour of Nagaland, in seeking the mandate of the Naga people on the 33% issue has been done at the right time.
The resultant reaction of the Reservation if implemented, in my belief will cause Corruption, increase Divorce Rates, prove detrimental to the Society, cause bloodshed, death, killings, hatred and jealousy- just to name a few. God only knows what worse things are bound to happen.
It is too sad that Naga Women should take up such a burden. It is my earnest request to our Naga Women to keep away from such misleading issues.
It is obvious that with this Reservation, Hatred will be divided into two- women’s hatred against Women and also Men’s hatred upon Women.
Public mandate should be “No Reservation in Politics”, if we really desire a selfless, fair and just Society led only by capable people.
My Predictions will come true, sooner or later.
DISING HAU.
