Chuchuyimlang, January 20 (MExN): The 34th Langpangkong Students’ Conference (LKM) Sports Festival will be held on January 29 and 30 at the Langpangkong Tzükong Government High School Ground, Headquarters Chuchuyimlang.
The sports festival is being hosted by the Chuchuyimlang Village Council and the Chuchuyimlang Students’ Union. The 34th LKM Sports Festival Planning Committee is led by Imkongtemsu Jamir as convenor, while the Local Planning Committee is headed by Rongsenlemla as convenor.
Speaking on the historical significance of the tournament, LKM President Imlinok, along with LKM Sports Secretary Imtinuklu Jamir, stated that the Langpangkong tournament, widely recognised as one of the oldest sports tournaments in the region, traces its origin back to 1942. In recognition of its rich heritage, long-standing legacy and historical importance, they informed that it has been officially decided that the tournament will henceforth be known as the Langpangkong Kaketshir Mungdang Sports Festival.
Meanwhile, Planning Committee Convenor Imkongtemsu Jamir stated that all necessary preparations are underway and appealed to all affiliated units, athletes, volunteers and well-wishers to extend their full cooperation for the smooth and successful conduct of the festival.
