3rd Children Fest 2025 organised by RBCAN concludes at New Jalukie

PEREN, DECEMBER 18 (MExN): The Christian Education Department of the Rongmei Baptist Church Association Nagaland (RBCAN) concluded its third Children Fest 2025 at Elohim Rongmei Baptist Church, New Jalukie on Thursday.

Held from December 16 to 18 under the theme “World Changers” (Matthew 5:14), the three-day festival featured spiritually enriching and creative activities for children from various churches affiliated to the association.

The festival opened with a flag-hoisting ceremony by Rev. Mathiuthai Gonmei, executive secretary, RBCAN, who also delivered the inaugural message, urging children to grow in faith, discipline and Christian values. The opening presentation was made by the Christian Education Department of the host church. The evening programme featured guest artiste Bamile Pame, while the contemporary worship night included a message by Giluanang Pamei, pastor of Rongmei Baptist Church, Jalukie Town.

On the second day, Kelesha Kent, CE director, Rongmei Baptist Church, Dimapur, addressed the devotion session. A choral competition was held during the day, with children presenting the hymn “God of Boundless Might.” The host church, Elohim Rongmei Baptist Church, won first place, followed by Rongmei Baptist Church Samziuram and Rongmei Baptist Church Kohima in second and third places, respectively. The award for best choir conductor was presented to Jaojiangailiu Gonmei of RBC Samziuram.

The evening featured a worship and talent night, with performances by children from participating churches. Gaimunrei Gonmei, pastor of Rongmei Baptist Church, Mhainamtsi, addressed the gathering, encouraging children to use their talents with dedication and discipline.

On the final day, Ganchuimei Gonmei, women secretary, RBCAN, led the devotion session. The closing programme was addressed by Aguipou Kamei, vice-president, RBCAN, and featured a performance by guest artiste Mayori Phinao. The festival concluded with the de-hoisting of the flag and a mass closing hymn sung by a combined choir of all participating churches.

More than 450 students, staff and well-wishers took part in the festival. The Christian Education Department, RBCAN, expressed gratitude to the host church, speakers, artistes, volunteers and participating churches for their support in making the event a success.
