Kohiuma, May 8 (MExN): The Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) will be conducting the 3rd Kohima District Futsal Championship 2026 on May 30, 2026 at Mez & Co Sports Arena.
The championship will be played on a knockout basis and is expected to witness participation from leading futsal teams across the district. The Champions will receive a cash prize of Rs 20,000 along with Trophy and Citation, while the Runners-Up will be awarded Rs 15,000 along with Trophy and Citation. The two losing semi-finalists will receive Rs 5,000 each.
Individual awards will also be presented to the Best Goalkeeper, Top Scorer, and Player of the Tournament, each receiving a trophy in recognition of their performance.
Tournament forms are available at Flora Bakery, High School, and Sports Paradise, Kezieke.
Only registered players will be allowed to participate in the tournament. The second phase of player registration and renewal will continue till May 28, 2026. The association has invited interested teams and futsal enthusiasts to participate and support the championship, which aims to promote futsal and strengthen sporting culture in the district.
