Peren, December 20 (MExN): The 3rd Winter Carnival 2018 was held from December 17 to 20 at local ground, Peren Town organised by Progressive Peren (P2) which is a community based Tourism Initiative supported by District Administration under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
DC Peren, S. Tainiu NCS graced the inaugural function as special guest and Tsidi Hairang NCS EAC Dimapur as the host.
The special guest in her address called upon all to jointly work hard with determination so as to bring progress to the district. The stalls put up for the Winter Carnival were inaugurated by the special guest. Progressive Peren (P2) is a conglomeration of NGOs and concerned citizens to better our lives, its people and the surrounding. The programme started at 7:30 AM on December 17 with P2 Half Marathon from Pedi to Peren Town. The function was chaired by Rangro Herie E.S. ZBCC and keynote address was delivered by Er. Asembe Secretary Progressive (P2). Other highlights included hip hop dance presented by Vibe Crew, Kids Carnival, Food Haat, Zipline Water Zorbing, Bouncy Slides, and Fashion Show Exhibition Cum Sale.
