Along with the rest of Nagaland, Kiphire celebrated World Music Day at Deluxe point, Kiphire town on June 21.
The event was organised by Stargazer in collaboration with District TaFMA (Task Force for Music and Arts) partner, District administration and DK Entertainment (Senti Longchar DHO, Horticulture Department).
The event saw many young artists, musicians and dancers showcasing their talents, as thousands gathered to celebrate music.
Leochum V Thonger, TaFMA Kiphire District Partner expressed his appreciation to the District administration, Stargazer, DK Entertainment for collaborating and partnering with TaFMA Kiphire District, for making 3rd World Music Day a grand success.
He said, “Through this event we want to discover young talents in our district where we will be able to help and guide them to achieve their potential to the next level.”
He further added that this year TaFMA will oragnise Open House under Kiphire District, starting next month where the district TAFMA will select 2 Best Artists from among the contestants who will then be sent to Kohima for further Grooming.
'Under which TaFMA will then sponsor these Best Artist who will get a chance to perform in HORNBILL MUSIC FESTIVAL 2024 providing them firsthand experience at International Stage,' he added
Meanwhile taking advantage of the young crowd gathering, a brief critical awareness on Women empowerment and HIV & AIDS was also shared during the event.
