Dimapur March 21 (MExN): The village authorities of Chakpa, Yaongyimti New, Yaongyimti old and Lonkong under Mokokchung district have expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and 24 A/C MLA Jongshilemba for constructing a link road in the said areas.
A joint statement from the council authorities of the respective villages stated that while other areas of Nagaland were prospering and making fast developments in various the areas were still lacking far behind. “We were deprived of all development activities. Even though we are included (under) Mokokchung district we are famously known as undeclared backward area and people” stated Imlong, Hemyia, L Yanchu and Tiakaba in joint statement. However, under the leadership of CM Rio and MLA Jongshilemba proper road could be made possible for the villagers.
The council chairmen and Secretary stated that the noble gesture of the government would be cherished and expressed support to the present DAN government.
