Dimapur | March 21

The Sinai Ministry, Dimapur is hosting the 40 days of Revival with the theme ‘Awake, Arise, Shine’ (Ephesians 5:14) starting from March 11. The revival is also ‘celebrating the 150 years of Christianity in Nagaland.’ The first ten days of the revival was held at The Lighthouse Church (TLC), Hill View Colony, DC Court, Dimapur with speakers from different churches, ministries and denominations.

Sharing about the revival, the Sinai Ministry, Director and Lead Pastor of TLC, Wabang Longchari said that these 40 days of Revival was not pre-planned. “On February 11, when few of us were having a time of prayer and fast, the Lord convicted me to do 40 days of Revival... With the little faith we had, we said yes,” Longchari said. “We were also reminded that the year 2022 also marks 150 years of Christianity in Nagaland,” he added.

‘The time is now’
Longchari said that the main purpose for hosting the revival is because “it is time for the body of Christ in Nagaland to awaken and come together spiritually and politically irrespective of denominations, tribes, status etc.” On the theme of the revival which is based on Ephesians 5:14, “To Awake, Arise, Shine”, he affirmed, “We Nagas will be awaken from our slumber, arise with the fullness of Christ and shine His light in the Dark. The time is now.”

‘Beyond church’
For the revival, the ministry has reached out to churches from different denomination and partnering with them to host the Revival in their churches. Pastors and leaders from different denominations are also speaking during the 40 days of Revival. “The responds have been really overwhelming and we can see that the Lord is behind this,” Longchari noted.

Giving more details of the schedule, he informed that after the 10 days of hosting the revival in the TLC, from March 22 it will be held in different denominational churches in and around Dimapur and different streets of Dimapur. The last 5 days, during the Easter week, the revival will culminate at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Football Ground, Dimapur.

On April 19, the last day of Revival, Longchari informs, “we would hopefully bring together our church leaders, political leaders, national workers, civil societies and student leaders for a time of repentance, forgiveness and asking God’s blessings on behalf of our Naga people.”

‘Hope rising’
Unlike other times, the Ministry is also engaging the children from the TLC in different teams, like in prayer, worship and media. GLAD (God's Little Army of Disciples) is the child ministry of the church.

“We see hope rising up in Nagaland. It is going to better than we imagine. Nagaland is not Land of anything but it’s a Land for Christ and that Nagas belongs to Christ,” Longchari said while extending invitation to “all fellows Nagas to come and join this Revival Movement.”

Every evening the Revival starts at 5:00 pm and is streamed live through the YouTube and facebook accounts of the Sinai Ministry. The media team of the 40 days of Revival is also producing ‘Firemail’ series which features testimonies, extracts of the speaker and daily updates about the venue.
