49 Pastors from Assam attending training at CTC-Aolijen

Dimapur, September 11 (MExN): A three day special leadership training program for the Pastors of the Assam valley Baptist Mission will be held at Clark Theological College, Aolijen at Mokokchung from September 12.
A press note issued by Er. Temsu Wathi Ao, District Informatics Officer (NIC) stated that Rev. T. Sübong, former Kohima Ao Baptist Church Pastor, Rev. C. Bendang Jamir, Director, Generation Countdown Youth Ministry Dimapur, A. Tali Ao, Lecturer CTC, Rev. T. Yanger, PRO CTC and Rev. Dr. Takatemjen, Principal CTC will impart the trainees. The topics will include church administration, pastor & pulpit, pastor & family, preparation of Bible sermon with reference to present day scenario, conducting different services besides field visit cum exposure trip to Ao Baptist Church Association (ABAM), Impur, Mangmetong and Kumlong Baptist Church.
It is pertinent to mention that the Baptist Churches located in and around Assam-Nagaland border had formed this “Assam Valley Baptist Mission” initially comprising of 28 churches during July 2005 specifically to uplift the foundation of the already planted but sick Churches. Today, the Mission has a total of 49 churches.  The note also mentioned that in order to upgrade the basic foundations of the Pastors of these churches, Clark Theological College, Aolijen is kind enough to extend logistical support (Class rooms, Conference Hall, Chapel, lodging for the trainees, resource persons from the faculty, Audio-video systems etc free of cost) to host a three day special leadership training program for Assam Valley Pastors at Clark during September 12 to 14, 2011 and co-sponsored by well wishers.
As the Christianity first spread from Sibsagar Assam to Naga Hills, it will be a memorable event to experience when the Pastors from Assam visits Clark at Mokokchung and get acquainted with the functioning of Naga churches as this will be first of its kind exposure mission from Assam where 49 Pastors will be attending the training.
