
DIMAPUR, October 23 (MExN): The 4th Nagaland Drums Festival, presented by Vivezza Music Studio, is set to take place at the Town Hall, Dimapur on October 25. According to the organisers, the event will be divided into two parts. The first session, scheduled from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the front yard of the Town Hall, will be a free-entry event.
Lopeno Ovung Queah, the director of the Nagaland Drums Festival, extended a welcome to all drums and percussion enthusiasts and drummers of every skill level to participate in the drum circle and support community drumming initiatives in the state.
The second part of the festival will commence with a drums competition, followed by an evening concert. The lineup for the concert includes artists such as Nikivi Nathan and Chishi, Changkhanthaipou Kamei, Shubham Bhardwaj (founder of Ryet cymbals from Jamshedpur), Tenny Copper Kharshiing from Shillong, Meghalaya, Tanmoy Dutta, and Snare Affairs, a group of four drummers from Guwahati, Assam.
Internationally acclaimed drummer Nishant Hagjer will be the headliner for the festival. A registration fee will be applicable for the second part of the event.
