52 fresh COVID-19 cases, 3 more deaths in Nagaland

A total of 52 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Nagaland on Sunday, taking the cumulative tally of infections in the State to 29,972.

As per the State Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) bulletin, the new cases were detected from a total of 1370 samples, indicating a positivity rate of 3.80%.

Out of the new cases, Dimapur and Kohima reported the highest number of cases with 16 and 15 cases respectively while other districts which registered new COVID-19 cases on Sunday were Mokokchung (3), Mon (7), Phek (5), Wokha (2) and Zunheboto (2).

Meanwhile, as many as 64 people were discharged from hospitals post-recovery in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries in the State to 27,665. The COVID-19 death toll increased to 603 on August 29, with 3 more deaths reported from Kohima.

A total of 14 more deaths have been classified as ‘Non COVID deaths (with COVID positivity)’ in the bulletin.

As on August 29, there are 806 active COVID-19 cases in the state out of which 70 are admitted in COVID hospital and 641 are under home isolation.
