Tsidi Hairang, EAC Dimapur inaugurating the ‘Unity Run’ 5K marathon along with the participants and Orentsani Kikon, Proprietor of Orentsani Aesthetic Fitness.
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 31 (MExN): To honor the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Nagaland, along with the rest of India, organized a virtual unity run on October 31.
The event was organized by the NEB sports and Nagaland brand ambassador Orentsani Kikon, a professional fitness coach practicing for the past 12 years.
The unity run saw 33 participants, the youngest was seven, and the senior-most was 71. The event was also part of the Fit India Movement, a nationwide campaign in India to encourage people to remain healthy and fit by including physical activities and sports in their daily lives.
The event was inaugurated by Tsidi Hairang, EAC Dimapur, and Imcha Jamir started the program with a prayer. The organizers thanked the Dimapur Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh Soundarajan, IAS, and the Dimapur Police for supporting the program.
