Zunheboto, June 28 (MExN): Under the initiative of Green Club Zunheboto (GCZ), the 5th death anniversary of late Isak Chishi Swu was observed at Chishilimi with representatives from the apex tribal hohos, civil societies and well wishers on June 28.
In the introductory remark, GCZ President, Tavinto K Sumi highlighted the gathering on the importance of observing the day, stated a press release issued by GCZ.
NSCN (IM), CAO Pasheto Swu speaking during the event said that the government has already rolled out the plan for the layout of the graveyard construction as a historical site but due to the pandemic, the government is not able to make the progress as planned. He also said that a book on late Isak Chishi is already in the process and hopefully by next year it will be ready for release.
ZAPO, Vice President, Kakugha S Rotokha in his speech said that an NGO has for the first time organized the death anniversary and encouraged to continue the observation. The programme was chaired by Angukato Sumi, invocation by Vikato Achumi, youth Pastor Chishilimi Baptist Church and prayer by Shetoni Swu, Children Pastor, Chishilimi Baptist Church.
Wreaths were also laid from various organizations. Mughakhi Kinto Zhimomi contributed the frame of an ode which he won in the “ode to Asu Isak Chishi Swu” competition in 2016 competition initiated by Sümi Küküpütsa.
