Kohima, July 4 (MExN): Power supply will remain suspended in Sanis and Bhandari areas for seven hours on July 6 to facilitate emergency vegetation clearance and maintenance of two 132kV transmission lines under the Kohima Transmission Division, an official notification said. The shutdown will be effective from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on the 132kV Doyang-Sanis line and the 132kV Sanis-Wokha line, the Executive Engineer of the Transmission Division, Kohima, informed through a press release. The maintenance work has been planned to avoid unwanted disruptions and ensure stable power supply in the region, the release stated, adding that the shutdown was unavoidable for smooth execution of the activity. All consumers and the general public in the affected areas have been requested to extend their cooperation and bear the temporary inconvenience.
