Dimapur, May 14 (MExN): Stating that there has been an alarming spread of COVID-19 positive cases in Padumpukhuri village, the Padumpukhuri Village Council (PPVC) in co-ordination with different communities has informed that a complete lockdown would be imposed in the village jurisdiction for 72 hours, with effect from 6:00 pm on May 14. “This is solely to break the chain,” the PPVC stated on May 14 and appealed all concerned to cooperate and follow the guidelines.
All kind of business establishment including salons, vegetable and fruits vendors etc will be completely closed except medical shops from 6:00 pm on May 14 till May 17 within the village jurisdiction.
Movement of vehicles including passenger auto shall be off the roads except those exempted.
Outsiders including construction workers will not be allowed to enter the village within the given period.
Unnecessary movement of public will also be strictly checked, the PPVC stated.
The Community Task Force Padumpukhuri village also informed on Friday that various entry gates/points like the Padumpukhuri main entry gate, Aoyimti entry point, Dubagoan main entry, Toluvi road to public ground entry point and Wungram colony entry point would be monitored.
For this, respective community leaders or task force members, GBs have been requested to send their volunteers to implement the lockdown.
