The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Manipur and Nagaland sector Inspector General of Police (IGP) Randeep Datta is currently in Nagaland in connection with Civic Action Programme (CAP) of the 78 CRPF Battalion at Sechu Zubza under Kohima district.
Since its induction in Nagaland, the 78th CRPF Battalion has been extending basic facilities to the public through CAP in a frequent manner.
Before attending the CAP programme here, Datta met Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio in Kohima to review security situation in the state and also to strengthen police-public relations. Datta also met Nagaland Chief Secretary J Alam.
In the CAP function at Sechii Zubza, Datta handed over water storage tank, study materials and solar LED lights to the public.
The materials provided under CAP during 2020-21 included 81 water storage tank to the people of Sechuma, Leizha B Colony and Kherithi B Colony of Sechu Zubza, 151 set of study materials to the students of Government Primary School Sechu Zubza and 10 Solar LED Lights with poles for installation at Sechu Zubza/ Sechuma village road to Don Bosco school road.
In his speech, Datta stated that the people of Nagaland have a unique culture and added that the Government of India as well as the CRPF is always there to help the people in each and every stride of their lives.
Also speaking on the occasion, Ritu Datta, wife of Randeep Datta who is also the president of CRPF Wives Welfare Association, Manipur and Nagaland said that peace is of utmost importance and urged the people to love each other for a peaceful society.
Shyamchand De, DIGP (Ops), CRPF Kohima assured that the CRPF would always go hand in hand with the public and that they are ready to provide any assistance apart from their assigned duties.
Surender Singh, Commandant 78 CRPF Battalion, thanked the neighbouring villages for extending their cooperation and maintaining cordial relationship with the CRPF.
