The 7th ABAM Women Ministry triennial conference was held in Impur from September 1 to 3.
DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 3 (MExN): The Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) Women Ministry, under the leadership of Alemla Mozür Secretary, held its 7th Triennial Conference from September 1 to 3 at Impur under the theme ‘Women today a hope for tomorrow'(Ezekiel 17:22-24).
The programme had two main sections—the worship service and the workshop section. The speakers for the worship services were Rev Dr Mar Pongener, Executive Secretary, ABAM; Dr Sahinungla Pongen, Associate Professor of Christian History, OTS; and L Watinaro, Associate Pastor, Mangkolemba who spoke on the theme of the conference ‘Women Today a Hope for Tomorrow.’
The topics covered in the workshop were women's health, social media, homosexuality, mental health, self-reliance, and food safety.
Resource persons for the workshop were Dr Süpongmeren, Senior Specialist (Obs & Gyne), IMDH; Benjungdenla Yaden, Reader, SCERT Nagaland; Imtimenla Aier, APW, Süngkomen BC; Moamenla Longkümer, District Mission Coordinator, District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Mokokchung; Tsükti Longkümer, Proprietor, Longpok Holdings; and Sendongkaba Jamir, Assistant Food Safety Commissioner, DHFW, Kohima.
Altogether, 1,160 delegates from 160 churches under the constituents of ABAM attended the conference. A press release from ABAM said that Women Ministry “strives to bring holistic change, God empowers them to take the leadership to fight against all evil and deliver our society to the standard of God's interest.”
