The fitness community from different parts of the state joined the 7th edition of Nagaland Street Fitness event at Sokhriezie Park, Kohima on September 17.

Organized by Nagaland Street Fitness, the event was marked by best physique contest, arm wrestling (Male/female), free squats (Male/female), push-ups (Male/female) and gym vs gym tug of war.

This event aims to foster a spirit of unity and brotherhood among the fitness community and to build better network and inspire one another.

Nagaland Street Fitness team is led by Theja Kire, Yanpvuo Kikon, Ketseiu Talie and Vizo Savi.

Sokhriezie Park was venue partner. Other partners includes; Le Bistro, Toudi Enterprise, MonAram, Star Sports, Mrs and Mr. Elivil Pusa (Patron, Arm Wrestling), Zao’s Gym & Fitness Centre, Mrs and Mr. Kedilhou Yhome (Patron best Physique), Café Mitron, Avitso Lcho (Patron, Gym vs Gym Tug of war), AK Sanitary & Hardware, Battle Ground Unisex Gym, Beat Devices, Little Solution, Rugs Ngouri (Graphic Designer) and Nagaland Bodybuilding & Fitness Association.

The judges for Best Physique included Thepfungunyu Tieso Solo, Keneilelie Sorünuo (Kenny Soru) and Moalong Yaden.

Neli Dominic and Niboto Achumi assisted as referees for Arm Wrestling event and Team Friction as referees for Push-ups event.

Talking to media persons, Yanpvuo Kikon of Nagaland Street Fitness, informed that this 7th edition registered more than 200 participants from Kohima, Dimapur, Tseminyu, Mokokchung and other districts of Nagaland.

Kikon maintained that the event had inspired and motivated others to live a healthy life.

“We, Nagas are supposed to be strong warriors. We need to become stronger and fitter,” he conveyed.
