Kohima, September 6 (DIPR): Eight female students from Kohima College have been selected for a ‘Solidarity Students Exchange Programme’ with Sathaye College, Mumbai under the initiative of the Governor of Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh, PB Acharya.
A stringent procedure was followed to select the students who demonstrated exceptional academic aptitude and knowledge of Naga culture, and were eager to learn about the diversity of the nation, making them fit to represent the Nagas as ambassadors in cultural exchange with mainland India, informed a press release issued by PRO to Governor.
The programme is jointly organised by Indian National Fellowship Centre (INFC) and Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation (Kohima). Keditsu Foundation is sponsoring the flight tickets and will be providing daily stipend for each student while, INFC will arrange the weeklong tour of Mumbai.
INFC along with Sathaye College will be receiving and hosting the visiting team from September 9 to 17 in Mumbai. The schedule includes workshops on personality development and soft skills, career counselling, local home visits, Mumbai sightseeing tour, visit to small scale industries, warli and rangoli workshops, entrepreneurial talks, rural areas tour etc. The programme will also have a cultural evening wherein, the students from both the colleges will display their folk dance and music.
