It is a fact that our journey on this earth is walked just once in all human life because there can never be another you. Every moment in our life is precious as we could never turn back the time. In all situations and circumstances of life we are left with choices and it is always good to choose life because it is God’s greatest gift to humankind. My motto in life, “we can never undo in life, so always choose to be happy no matter what circumstances comes our way”. When a new jacket accidently gets torn my mother always makes it wearable by stitching beautiful stickers with colours nicely matched upon the marks. It usually ends up worth stitching and buying. We take for granted the imperfectness in life but when we adorn it according to its imperfectness it serves greater service and joy in our lives as well as in the life of others. It is a difficult task to explain what colourful is to a blind man, likewise one find no words to express how it is to be physically able. Being physically impaired we may fell that there is no meaning in life, as a human we cannot change the fact but we can always choose to be still happy.
I’m so thankful and privileged to have this opportunity to write to all who are “specially able”. I have witnessed many talented able people painting with mouth, writing with toes, well educated though blind. I have a complete set of limbs yet I could not paint neither with my mouth nor with my toes indeed, you are uniquely created because of which you are known as the “Special People”. It’s been five years that I am trying to play piano, but no way have I felt ashamed when I see you playing piano and strumming all sorts of musical instruments like running train with your eyes still beautifully closed.
Like the sun moon and stars you are uniquely, beautifully and powerfully created with God’s own hand in His own image. The courage and the smiles you carry spread fragrance in our hearts. When our hope flickers off and courage runs out, your presence reminds us that, yes! There is another happy place still existing on earth. Perhaps many a times you may feel rejected, useless and a burden to your families and societies but my dear specially able brothers and sisters you are the mirror that reflects the beauty and the love of God.
Once I was standing on a hill top gazing down at the beautiful sight of nature. The colourful trees, the rippling brook and the soft breeze enchanted me. To add more beauty to the scene, the birds were flying over the spectrum. It was a sight of beauty to the eye and a joy to the heart, nevertheless it seduced me to a higher level that I wanted to fly. Dark, soundless and empty world have I never known, yet specially able person miss out either of the perfect sight. As I sat back with my thoughts I was reminded that you are the one God has chosen to reveal his glory and the proof of his grace to all. Indeed you are a bouquet of joy in our lives.
Strive every day for something new; though in a snap of finger one cannot expect instant change, but you can always believe in the miracle call “self realization”. If you discover this miracle within you, even in the midst of no where you will always fell happy about something. This self realisation will help you discover the hand of God in the shadow, moulding and shaping you through hard ways towards heaven. Yes ! you can do it, this miracle can happen to you, with a little bit of faith from your side. Every time you are tempted to grumble at God, remember!! You are insulting the ability of God who promised that even “His eyes is on the sparrow”. In fact, your existence itself is a wonderful miracle, never lose hope, because God had already known that you can do it. In you God has created a little heaven on earth so make it happen; you are heavenly Children with a special purpose on earth.
