A Note of gratitude to the people of Medziphema

The beauty of Medziphema has enchanted me just as I imagine Switzerland would.

The view of the town from the highway and the view once you get inside of it are worlds apart. And thank God, I finally know now. But what is more fascinating than the sceneries themselves is the generousity of the people. I guess that's what makes the place all the more beautiful.

Of the 25 days I stayed in Quarantine centre of NU Medziphema campus, the initial 12 days was what I call luxury living. The delicious food seasoned with empathy and love can only be equated with the abundance of blessings from the Lord.

Every day, we conversed in appreciation of your generosity through a wonderful platform called the Church. And I know I would want to feel the same for a long time, so I kept a journal of what we were given every single day. That's how I can still remember the day when we proudly said, "Pork bishi kha bi amoni lagey ho!” That's the best sentence any returnee could ever say.

Besides from appreciation and wistfulness, that the Lord would reciprocate on our behalf, I, as an outsider (for now), would like to remind you that you all are living in a wonderful place. You may have gotten used to the blissfulness of it but it's not non-existent. And I want you, the people of Medziphema, to keep loving it just as you love each other.

Special thanks to security guard guy and all QC officials.
