Dimapur, October 10 (MExN): The Aghünato Area Union Dimapur (AAUD) consisting the inhabitant from Nihoshe Village (south) to Khumishi Village (north) and in between Tizü and Tsütha river is contemplating to celebrate the Ahuna Festival, the most important festival for Sümi tribe on November 14 with traditional gaiety and aplomb at Dimapur.
AAUD Secretary, Hukavi t. Yepthomi in a press release informed that in this connection an executive meeting has been scheduled on October 15, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the private residence of Akashe Zhimomi, Treasurer, AAUD at Eralli Bill, Dimapur to chalk out proper programme befitting this important festival. It is therefore informed to all the concerned Executive members and Office Bearers to attend the scheduled Meeting positively.
Further, it is requested to all the Village Unions/Organisations under AAUD not to schedule any festivity programmes or such on this day that may coincide with this officially scheduled Ahuna Festival.
