Dimapur, January 4 (MExN): The Aghünato Areami Union of Dimapur (AAUD) today said it “is too disturbed over the accusation on the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur Smti. Hushili, IAS of willful diversion of fund by the NSCN (K).” Chairman of the Aghünato Areami Union of Dimapur, Ahovi Zhimomi, and secretary Hukavi T Yepthomi in a press statement said that “As a bonofide member of our organization, Smti. Hushili, IAS is well known by her simplicity, honesty and straightforwardness in her personal as well as in all her official capacities as an administrative officer who have serve the people of the state in various capacities.” The union termed it ‘unfortunate’ that she has been accused of “‘exacting hefty percentage’ by our own National workers who we believe must be knowing her personal integrity beyond any doubt.” “It is more so for targeting an upright officer and personalizing the issue in the name of Naga national cause which has become an unprecedented and negative development in the struggle of our aspiration towards sovereignty,” the union said. “We would therefore strongly urged the concerned Naga political group to stop in targeting officers, public leaders and all the common people alike and making them a scapegoat amidst the frictions between the different Naga political groups in the larger interest of the Naga people’s struggle of self determination and for peaceful living among ourselves.”
