ABAM WM upskill pastors’ wives to balance home, community & church

A six-day programme for pastors’ wives was organised by the ABAM Women Ministry at New Delhi from February 11 to 16.

Impur, February 17 (MExN): A six-day programme for pastors’ wives, emphasising the significance of home management as the foundation for successful ministry was organised by the ABAM Women Ministry (WM) under the theme, “Organize our kitchen (Esther 4:16)” from February 11 to 16 at New Delhi.

Launched in 2025, the ‘Organize our Kitchen’ series was established to recognise the family’s role in shaping testimonies that serve the church. This year’s edition targeted wives of pastors, acknowledging their unique responsibilities in facilitating effective pastoral work.

The programme focused on balancing duties across three key areas: managing the family unit, engaging within the community, and navigating diverse social environments. Sessions were led by the ABAM Women’s Ministry staff, headed by Secretary T Arenla Lkr, covering spiritual, practical, and emotional well-being.

The Delhi Ao Baptist Church, led by Associate Pastor Meren, extended logistical support and hospitality for the event. A total of 68 members participated in the programme, including 64 pastors’ wives from 54 churches and four members of ABAM WM.

Rev Temsu Jamir, Executive Secretary of ABAM noted that empowering pastors’ wives, akin to the biblical figure Esther, positions them strategically to bring positive change and stability within their communities, ensuring their homes remain a strong foundation for public ministry.
